Hey guys! So, it's been a while since my last post and I feel like it's because I've been super busy. I'm not really sure if that's the case or not but we'll go with it. To be honest, I'm not sure what's happening anymore, but I digress. A few weeks ago, however, I did take a trip out to the Houston area with my family. We visited the Kemah Boardwalk one day and boy oh boy was it a miserable one. I don't recall the actual temperature that day but I do recall feeling beads of sweat drip down my back. Attractive, I know. Anyway, before we left for the trip I made sure to tell my niece to pack cute outfits. If you don't know my niece, she's 10 years old and already a little fashionista. She's adorable when she comes over and tells me "you should wear these shoes because they match your outfit best". She loves clothes and throwing outfits together and, let's be real, she gets it from me (muahaha). This was her little outfit she chose and I think she rocked it. I did let her borrow my sunglasses to complete this look. Don't forget to let me know what you think!
Hey everyone! So, it's probably no surprise I hang out with Paul all the time. Fun fact: I've known this cool kid since we were 4 years old! Not sure if I've mentioned this before but oh well. These photos are from back in April, which was quite a while ago but better late than never right? I'm always wanting to share my photos with y'all! Anyway, we decided to go on an adventure around the Bluestar one evening and just had fun with our spontaneous photoshoot! As always, let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy! xo
Hey everyone! So a few weeks ago, my niece Ashtynn was over and we decided to have a spontaneous bubble photoshoot! This little girl is always down to have her photos taken and she's such a little ball of fun when we take photos (until she's over it and turns evil). Anyway, the lighting this evening was so perfect and beautiful and I was so excited about it! I hope you enjoy and be sure to let me know your thoughts! :)
Hi everyone! I know in one of my last posts I mentioned having a ton of content to post and that I do! I just recently got back from adventuring around New Mexico so now I'm back on the grind and here to post more for you! A few weeks ago, my friend Raymond contacted me about photographing graduation portraits for his girlfriend. Nancy and I got in touch and started planning out the details for her shoot. I was so happy everything worked out the way it did and I was able to head up to Texas State to photograph her! Congratulations on getting your Masters, pretty girl! If you want to see more photos, just visit my website here! :)
Hello everyone! I'm back again with another blogpost! And be ready because I have quite a bit of content for the next few weeks. I know you missed me! :) Anyway, today I'm here to bring you some portraits of one of my best friends Paul. He came over one day to help me with a vision. I'm really into using smoke in my portraits right now and I'm not really sure why. All I know is, I need to keep doing it. We had so much fun with this shoot that night! Throughout the night, we had noticed there were quite a bit of planes flying around my house. Long exposures of airplanes are something I've wanted to do for a while now but just never got around to doing. Those shots were just for fun and I just love shooting long exposures. I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to be on the lookout for more posts soon!
Long time no post, y'all! I can't even begin to explain how much that hurts. But don't worry, I'm back! And today I'm here to show you the engagement session I had with Alexis and Edward. These two are so adorable and let me just let you know right now: they have been together since HIGH SCHOOL. Like, exsqueeze me?! How freaking cute is that? Anyway, I was so excited when Alexis contacted me to photograph their engagement portraits. I just knew we would have a blast with them, and that we did! I asked her what image she was wanting with these photos and when she suggested an outdoorsy theme I was all about that. They had bought some materials and props to create a faux tent and I was seriously so obsessed! But enough of me rambling, check out some of the shots we got below and check out more on my website www.lorisandovalphotography.com ✨
Hello there! Welcome to a last minute and unplanned post. I took these photos this week and wasn't really wanting to make a whole blogpost about them. However, I did want to share them still so here we are. I've been obsessing over the morning light that spills into my room for a while now but have never gotten the chance to take photos with it until this week. I don't really have much to say about them so I'll just let you enjoy! :)
Honestly you guys, sometimes ideas just pop into my head and I'm too impatient to find a model and go through the process of scheduling/waiting for the photoshoot to happen. Sometimes, I just have to make things happen by myself. I really couldn't tell you how or why I thought of turning myself into Wednesday Addams but I did. I've always joked that we had a similar demeanor though. If you've seen the movies with Christina Ricci, I feel like that portrayal of Wednesday is my spirit animal. Anyway, I just wanted to play around and do something fun. Be sure to let me know what you think!
Hey everyone! If you remember, one week during my 52 Week Challenge I made a cinemagraph. They're not quite GIFs due to the fact that there's only a subtle movement in the entire frame. Anyway, that was just way too fun and I've had an itch to make some more. If you have any ideas for other cinemagraphs, please let me know! Here's a few that I've created recently so I hope you enjoy! :)
A few months back, I posted about how I took photos for little miss Paula Cortez and her band. They ended up using my photos for the cover of their CD that they recently released! It's pretty cool to see my photos on an album cover, I'm not gonna lie. So last Friday (June 27), they had their CD release party at Deco Pizzeria and they asked me to photograph for them. Of course, I said yes. While I was there, I also filmed a bit to make a video for them! I had asked Paula what her favorite song off the album was so I could record that song to make it like a "live music video". Below, you can find a few images from their performance as well as the video I threw together! Hope you enjoy it all & don't forget to check them out everywhere! :)

I love that I update my blog once weekly but I love even more when I'm able to post twice a week! Today, I'm here to show you photos from the graduation shoot I had with Maddie last week. We took so many photos, got some chipotle (which is obviously the best part of all of this..) and had so much fun the whole day. We're super lucky it didn't rain on us like it was supposed to. I'm super proud of this girl for graduating from nursing school this year! Here's a few of my favorites from our shoot but you can always check out more on my website at www.lorisandoval.weebly.com. Be on the lookout for this week's post on Friday!
Hey guys! So, with school starting up again and what not it's been both easy and hard to get into the groove of things. I'm in my last semester of school so I'm about to put all I have into my thesis work for my show at the end of the semester (which you should totally come to.. cough cough). So, in the midst of trying to get organized with all the photos I have, and trust me I have lots, I figured I should probably get to editing the promo shots of little miss Paula Cortez for her new EP! I mentioned this shoot a few weeks ago in another post and just recently Paula was in the studio to record her EP! Be sure and support her when it's all finished! But in the mean time, enjoy these few photos and click HERE to see more! Thanks for reading :) and have a great day!
So last month, I had the honors of doing Gabby's maternity photos! For this being my first maternity shoot, I was super excited! It was really hot, as it always is in Texas, but she was a trooper. I'm a little late posting these because just a few days ago, Gabby and Francisco welcomed baby Emma into the world! But, better late than never! Hope you enjoy them and check out more photos from her shoot here!
Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while and that makes me sad. I need to get back in the groove of things! Anyway, my dear old friend Paula is working on releasing an EP pretty soon. She's such a sweet girl and has a pretty awesome voice! It's always so much fun taking pictures of her because she will laugh at literally anything I say or do. You should definitely check out her music at www.youtube.com/sayheypaula and enjoy this behind the scenes shot from today! Be on the lookout for her EP and photos soon! :)

Of course I had to test out my idea on myself first! It was a bit challenging though because I had to stand in one spot the whole time and I don't have a shutter release remote or cable. So, I went to the next best thing: my boyfriend! Props to him for getting some decent pictures & knowing next to nothing about taking photos. Now, hopefully, you guys can get a better idea of what I'm trying to accomplish here! Let me know if you want to be a part of it!
